PERSONNEL QUALIFICATIONS

Documentation of the educational background and experience of all testing personnel is maintained in the human resources department. The NIH Office of Personnel Management has responsibility for hiring and maintaining files on NIH employees. All educational degrees are verified and copies of the transcripts kept in a personnel file. The NIH Office of Education is responsible for maintaining a list of the qualifications needed to become an Intramural Research Training Award Fellow (IRTA) at the postdoctoral level. This Office maintains files of these qualifications, certification of graduation, grades, letters of reference, and application forms for each Fellow. A copy of all resumes or curricula vitae and degrees of personnel associated with the running and interpretion of patient tests is also maintained in a separate folder (Personnel Folder) stored alongside the Procedure Manual and Quality Assurance Log Manual in Room 6N-258.
